KARACHI: Two people were killed in different incidents in the metropolis on Friday.
An elderly man was shot dead at his shop within the limits of North Nazimabad police station. The incident took place in North Nazimabad near Ziauddin Hospital, where unidentified armed men, riding a motorcycle, opened fire at Sajadia Furniture Shop, resultantly 70-year-old Ghulam Hussain received a bullet in his head and died on the spot.
SHO Malik Ayub said the victim was the resident of same area where the incident took place and he belonged to Shia sect. He said police suspected that the sectarian issue could be motive behind the incident. He said that the victims son works as volunteer in scouts.
