Ottoman army please look at pictures and read some history books of the Ottoman army especially before and during ww1 they actually did have and use modern technology they may not be fully industralised or powerful like the USA, Britain and Germany. But they did not fight ww1 with swords, spears or muskets. Osprey publishing said the Ottoman army during ww1 was a modern fighting force that was able to fight its biggest drawback was its logistics and internal politics and how the Ottoman army was not ready to fight a war for the long term. In the short term they were actually holding on very well until it came to 1917 when it began to fall apart.

Turkish army does have modern tech by the way the Turkish army can whoop assad's *** any day.
