It is about defending the homeland. It is no important whether It is Syrian or Greek or Iranian. There is a red line on such events and It is warned multiple times that Never push the limits of our patience (Remember You were accepting our silence as cowardise). If you did, It means You are ready to bear consequences. Nations, races or their religions is not issue If the subject is about national interests. For our Aegean interests, Our airforce is also chasing Greek Mirage and F-16s. No need to mention surprize operations against PKK in N. Irak.

In 1996...A greek Mirage shoots down a Turkish F-16..Greecos deny they shot down the Turkish F-16(so that mark could not be legit)...a few days later a Greek Mirage, crashes into Aegean sea in the same area.... case closed. You can't find much source/info over these incidents in the internet...

Like during the Kardak crysis...again a Greek helicopter crashes into sea while flying towards Turkey....every member on it's board has been killed.
