Turkish defense industry to dominate Pakistani expo

Turkish Deputy of MoND, Mr Dere,

  • We are preparing to realize some new programs with Pakistan.
  • We have discussed about cooperation possibility for Firtina Self Propelled Howitzers with Zübeyde Celal.
  • The interest level of Pakistani officials to our products is very high. We have invited Pakistani MoND to Ankara to visit Turkish defence institutes to be held in following months. Later, Pakistani and Turkish officials will attend IDEF-2019 defence fair in Ankara.
  • We want to use some sophisticated Pakistani missile technology to enhance the range for some munition programs. We want to put them into use (Pakistani missile tech) slowly. We have discussed those issues.
  • If we work harder with Pakistani officials product by product, institute by institute with focusing on the areas two state issues requirement until IDEF, Then We think the export potantial betwen two state will be enhanced many times more.

After PNS Moawin which is largest logistics vessel of the Pakistani navy, extensive modernization of the AGOSTA submarines and the acquisition of the MILGEM infrastructure in Pakistan, the new step in the navy cooperation will most likely be in patrol boats.

There are currently 16 Tuzla class patrol boats in the Turkish navy and 10 Asuw-configured boats(Serhad Class) in Turkmenistan. After the shipyard completed, which will be built by Dearsan in Sudan, the main backbone of the Sudanese navy is expected to form these boats.

This is the right approach but the need is to keep some of the progress hidden behind close doors .... not only closed but locked and heavily guarded doors ....

This sort of co-operation as quoted below (even intentions) MUST not come in public ...

It is known that Asfat Aş. offered one of Dearsan/Gülhan designed patrol boat to Pakistan officially and negotiations are proceeding over it. The gold question is which patrol boat is that? Dearsan revealed a few multi-role patrolboat/corvette derivatives in recent years. I wonder If Pakistan request SSM and SAM on those boats.
