Turkey refuses US mediation in crisis with Israel: Minister
AFP | Sep 17, 2011
ISTANBUL: Turkey does not need United States' mediation to solve a long-lasting crisis with Israel over a deadly 2010 flotilla raid, Turkish foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Saturday.

"We do not need mediation ... for Israel in any way," Davutoglu said during a televised press conference in the central province of Konya when asked to comment on the possibility of the US helping to resolve their differences.

Thats because the problem is fake, its created by the turks to fool to the arabs. no nato country is a friend to ME or islam.

Most Egyptians would take exception to that formulation. And Turkiye has a right to follow her interests, she pursing neither arbis nor Islam, but the national interests of Turkiye

Turkish interest is double pronged, it is fluent mix of the ruling Muslim conservative party with growing ambition and sphere of influence. I think the events are lining up for a turkey that my have some semblance with the Ottoman empire beginning of last century.
The way arabs screwed up their oil dividend, the epi-center of muslim world will once again be Turkey and the west is more comfortable with a modern muslim society like turkey and others..... the Turkish stock is rising, they are trying to assert themselves and who is the best pinata to beat in muslim world except those Israelis.
