Before 1980's Pakistan was more developed than China, it was a huge mistake for Pakistan beiing dragged in by US in Soviet-Afghan war and ensuing regional conflicts all the way up to US-Afghan war, no countries can handle milions of war refugees. US did give a lot of money to Pakistan, but that money is to destablise pakistan itself, it's like a poison in the disguise of a delicious food.

Yes i agree. Even saudi arabia sent alot of fighters and sponsored religious schools and jihad concept in pakistan against soviet union. Even though it was the need of the hour and we did defeat soviet union and saved pakistan and took our revenge from soviet union against 1971 back stabing.

But all that jihad violence and war type culture ruined paksitani identity and culture . now we pakistaniz are even more wahabi and more conservative and narrow minded people than even saudi arabia.

Its bad we lost alot because of violence and india progressed china progressed even bamgladesh progressed while pakistan is 10x behind india now and 2x2x behind bangladesh.

I hope pakistani people modernise and leave war and violent path and never again get involved in any war.

We are atleast 25 years behind india in développement and progresss.

Thank God our armed forces are not primitive and are in par with india otherwise we would be just a pushover country like iraq and Afghanistan.

Yep that was for security . but then we made it into our culture and also gave saudi narrow minded conservative violent and opressive ideals to our local population in pakistan and more in afghanistan.

You know we can't even make the turbines for 3 gorges dam ourselves, we had to jv with the Germans to learn how to build one. Today we make the largest hydro turbines in the world. Gosh, how far we have come.
