Idealist and ambitious muhammad bin tuqhlaq led qarachil expedition in 1329 to conquer tibet that ended up in disaster. Does any one has detailed material on this particular event?

I had read that he died in the Sindh. Please correct me but was he of Turkic ancestry?

Yes, my guess is his name is originally "Tughlug" which means a person who posss Tugh, horse tail standarts of Turkic and Mongol peoples, symbol of authority.
 
Yes tuqhlaqs were turks but their place of origin and other details is unknown. It is speculated tuqhlaq was not a tribe, it was name of founder of dynasty.
@Charon 2 do you have any info regarding place of origin of tuqhlaqs?.

Many people want to invade the Tibet,the Turks,the Nepalis and the Dogras,most of them failed
The first one conquered Tibet were the Mongols,but Kubylai Khagan accept the Tibetan Buddhism.The second one,the Khoshuds of Oirat,they make the Gelug-pa as the ruling powers,in the later history,because of Qing-Oirat war,and the Nepali invasion of Tibet,Tibet came in the hands of Chinese
