As as neutral watching this, i think Iran played its card too early. i mean sabotaging oil tankers at the straith now only means USAF and the coaltion will be prepared to deal with this.

Iran will to try to block the straight thats their first card, the second card is targeting Saudi oil refineres, thier 3rd card is trying to target USA bases in Iraq and Afg and their final and last card is to try to attack israel if all bets are off.

USA wants a short quick strike action, Iran knows it will need to drag into a long war to inflict serious damage.

In my opinion to really defeat Iran USA and the arabs and israel will need to plan an excute a dessert storm part 2 like war. and that will cost alot of $$$
