we dont use naval assets much, we use raf akrotiri mainly for our syria opperations. and recently the french are allowed to use the base as well.

True, we have enough assets in the region already(large command and control base in Cyprus, smaller bases in Iraq,Qatar,Kuwait etc) from where we launch operations in Iraq and Syria. Don't need anymore Naval systems to take on ISIS in Syria and Iraq. Even our nuclear submarine/destroyer based in the region is mainly to reassure allies like Turkey and aimed at sending a message to other big powers like Russia. Nothing much to read into that.
