Get rid of invoicing and smuggling, that will help local industry and reduce imports. Now China will share exact figures of exports to Pakistan which will help curb invoicing. Apart from China Pakistan also needs to do something with Afghan transit deal which is another route for smuggling.

Pakistanis needs to take advantage of that by building cheaper local products of similar if not better quality then imported. Everything is expensive as f here in Pakistan.

First @AZ1 , dear sir , mr @BATMAN have solid point ,,,,,, I can not prove it but you can trust me on this billions of $$ going in pockets of our elite as commission from smuggling ….. For example , what do you thing ? why there is no manufacturing plant of mobile phones in Pakistan ? Few months back FIA found Q-Mobile doing fraud and they are actually smuggling mobiles phones instead of building them in Pakistan , Do you know what happened to that case? Please do some research . And if you look at Q-mobile adds on tv hell man they bought all of Bollywood.... Because of a dirty reason...….

Dear Sir and members : : To minimize our trade deficit we have to look at what is casing it . Yes imports one of the reason but Almost zero or minimum industrial base no item to export is one main reason .
I said it many times before I will say it again …. We are spending over 1 billion $$$ for mobile phones !!!!! Now tell me who is stopping Govt to force companies to bring manufacturing Units in Pakistan ???
We are spending 1+ billion on Tea and Coffee import !!! Who is stopping Govt to set up Tea plantation in Northern Areas of Pakistan (just like india) so we can safe 1 fuking billion ?????? And double the tax on Coffee import let people who drink coffee pay for that import bill !!!!!
Now look at cooking oil !!!!! Again we spending Millions every year !!!!!!! We can safe it and can start importing it if we only work on sunflower plantation !!!!!!! Who the fuk stopping Govt ????
Now an other item which is casing trade deficit is Category of Home Appliances !!!!!!!! Are we that stupid as a nation that we can not manufacture them in Pakistan ….. tell the big companies "Zero imports allowed "c build all in Pakistan …… Believe me they will do that sir … what ! because we are 220 million people !!!!!!!!!!1 Now real question why they are not doing it ??? Answer !! It is very easy to say become exporter then it is done . Foe better economy first target items which are casing trade deficit , start making them at home : then start small and medium seize industries which are full independent from and import item and can easily support local demand , In this sector focus on Medicine and health related industry food and food related all industries , agriculture and related industries and list goes on ..
After this achieved You can bring dollar price to 500 I don't mind .
Then focus on heavy industry ……..

In the end summary :
Our elite is corrupt , for there one penny they destroyed whole of Pakistan and economy of Pakistan ……
Way out:
Target import items , we can not do much with petrochemicals but we can force or made in Pakistan instead of assembled in Pakistan, manufacturing units in Pakistan is the future for us and These big campiness..
Then build local small and medium industries as said above : Target hallal food market : IT market : Textile : Medicine sector : Diary sector : etc.

We need leader ship first , commission free elite . An elite who love Pakistan more then I-ran , KSA or Afgganistan ……
Then we can re-build our country ………. it will take time but only right path can take us to our desired destiny (Goal)

I can not prove it

I have already interviewed a smuggler party who does it with support of bureaucracy worth $ millions annually.
Funny part is they don't consider bringing goods to Pakistan without paying proper duty as smuggling.
Smuggling from China is over taking, smuggling from India and Iran.
Only Pakistan expats. who bring one mobile or electronic device are double taxed.
There's a plan out there, discourage overseas Pakistanis but bring in containers.
Karachi is hub of smuggling, Governer Sindh and minister from Karachi surely get their share. Previously it was Babar Ghouri, he could spill lot of beans.
There's a reason even welders of Karachi are billionaires.
BTW.. all tea comes from India and repacked in Pakistan. Same is the situation with medicine.
See a common man like me knows, but gullible state upon which we spent billions don't know shit.

Apparently saffron is grown in Balochistan. Saffron is very expensive, we should farm and export that, especially to the middle east.

Iran is one of the largest saffron producers..

It can be grown in alot of areas but requires alot if hard work.

Pakistani markets are FULL of smuggled goods.
Every house being constructed spend 1/4 of its construction budget on smuggled goods.
1/4 of our daily expenses is spent on smuggled goods.
Surely this smuggling has increased ever since new govt. took over, i guess new ministers want their share too.
I guess bribe $ are accepted in foreign countries. Hundi Hawala are the root cause of safe bribe system.
There's a reason why state of Pakistan closed all official money transfer channels immediately after departure of Musharraf.

Regarding Iran, If not all i know a bit.... I'm probably their most wanted guy.

When I say Agriculture, It covers oil, fruites, tea, coffee etc.
You can check Mobile imports so as some home appliance.
So far as medicine is concern, it will require a long term plan, a highly educated manpower in the area. This one is not easy to do. However, Pakistan has an excellent option of buying medicine from India.
GO for big way in solar energy and avoid all gas based and coal based power plant.
GO for organic farming and animal husbandry in big way. Let your people have some surplus money which will boost demand. Formulate the policies to encourage Make in Pakistan initiatives. Once you have buying power, all shall be attracted to Invest in Pakistan.

Batman has a solid point but not for this thread that was I meant. Here we have thread for sharing export data not govt should do thsi and that we have threads running for that already. Looks like put everything on govt rather than seek new ways how to do export.

Now having said that and as mention above we have list of things that we can export how many of you try to export things? And how do you market? How you reach the target audience of your niche? How to by pass gate keeper to reach direct owner of the company?

For example we have pharmacutical industry we can export it my cousin doing in dubai. Have you ever received an email asking we are this business in china i get on daily base.

The way we do business in Pakistan needs to think out of box to be honest. Import one thing and sale to local is not a good business model at all and will be dependent on govt performance.


Rather think import one think if you are not manufacturing and then export it to other countries rather than local. Focus on exporting you will have good margin.

Problem is witb Pakistani always want easy escape.and never think an inch from their minds.

Father set business to sale baloon give that business to kid and kid is happy. Premade briyani for him.


Stop smuggling stop this and that wouldnt do a good to this thread. No govt member here and will listen and implement what you want while you were sleeping in PMLN time.

Approached a Pakistani company last year for a bulk order of textile products. Found the experience horrible. Over priced without any assurances. Got it cheaper and quicker with Bangladesh company. Pakistan really needs to focus on ease of business and teach businesses how to export at competitive prices rather than take a quick buck and overcharge.

First step is we lack websites. Take any company in USA. They have website for every each business.

I am sure you contact a textile compny who lack export quality. Qualities are diferent for local as compare to exporter.

By you I meant Batman. You still don't get it my friend. This thread has nothing to do IMRAN KHAN OR NAWAZ SHARIF. Here we all are trying to share exports data. Do you have your own website for business so that people come to know about your business? You want to export how do you market them? My cousin is in Dubai as well as here and he does pharmaceutical business. Get things from Alibaba.com in bulk and then sale in Dubai as he has shop there as well as within Pakistan now looking to setup in UK. so he is Importing and then exporting and also targeting pakistani locals. That is a good business model.

You know a guy who got leather order and couldn't find in Pakistan. Did he try to think out of of the box? like searching on alibaba to find his require quality leather.

You can't export vegetable to dubai because indian lobby try it in egypt then saudia or other country. Dubai is not the end of the world infact dubai's economy itself is collapsing.



There are ways other than depending on Govt. But first you have to come with good business model and improvise it. Let's say you have local business that's good now it's time you also have export business a side. Don't depend on govt as we all have to feed our own family and govt haven't done that in past when Batman voted and chanting shair aya shair aya even that govt did nothing for him. why he expecting anything in return since Batman haven't voted for PTI in first place.
