Meanwhile 1 million Iraqis killed in US-NATO war, thousands of Afghani deaths in WoT and no care for this. The torture is condemnable and inexcusable. Yet the bigger picture is being missed as usual. Afghanis have a long way to go to become civilized.

Iraqis were not killed because of Americans but infighting of Shia-Sunni. Sunnis wanted to regain decades of rule in Iraq and Shia who formed majority in Iraq don't want to lose it. Iraq had always been a time bomb of Shia-Sunni clashes since centuries.

wrong dear how many of them was killed in rains of bombs and missiles by USA at 35 days of war you just forget them . and before US mess there was no such war between them if you remember we indian pakistanis work there and no one feel lawless in iraq . i admit saddam was stupid but punishment of saddam for millions of iraqis it self is worse war crime of USA .by the name of democracy

trust me or not afghans damage pakistan more then any other thing i am so sad we have border with them damn opper waly ne sari problems hamary birder per rakh di . since there was no war no taliban no damn US-SOVIET wars time they was fighting for control at dawood and zahir shah. there main problem is they can't obay they will never accept a person as head of state until that gus has AK-47 in hands . just read last 70 years of afghanistan

But the current situation has nothing to do with Soviet and US, it can be resolved if afghan neighbours plays some imp role...Rather then using their agencies to regain their influence in afghan..

You are wrong to some extent because people liked Saddam Hussain because he openly challenged Americans. Otherwise his whole period is marred by massacre of Kurdish and Shia. Shia were banned from conducting their religious practices openly and all of their top leadership were in exile in Iran. He killed Shias in his own country during Iran-Iraq war.

The thing is Americans had own interest in attacking Iraq but the violence escalated because Iraqi Arab Sunnis(20%) lost their hold on the country and Shias(65%) getting stronger and wanted to retain that. My friend works in Iraqi Kurdistan and he said that place was largely violence free in last 8 yrs because Kurdistan don't have sectarian tension but Arab Iraq have intense problems.

it will happen when they themselves stop killing lay down weapons do some work and stop making drugs . but seems like its not gonna happen dear . tribal system weapons war lords hate among them secretion wars and believe in guns and power in mentality of afghans so how on earth some one can fix it? . even pakistan try to do whatever we can't educate every afghan we can not take guns from them we can not erase there hate we can not bring them in real world .

Most of death in iraq happened because of shia-sunni fight. Shias were prosecuted during saddam. When liberated, they simply made death sqad and wiped out sunnis from many neighbourhoods of Bagdad.

There is a huge drop in sunni population of bagdad, everybody knows that. When US realized they cant do much apart dying in cross fire, they basically allowed shias to fight against Al Qaida( in some cities).

Even now, iraq is going through a dangerous phase. Unless majority shias show some pragmatism, it can plunge into civil war.
