I personally dislike his regressive views on both national and cultural issues. He makes Hindu philosophy looks like an organized religion: autocratic, puritanical, depraved and backward.

It is such people that true progressive Hindu nationalists must be aware of.

Although I must say, his speeches are simply a consequence of what secoolars transformed him to be.

This is sheer distortion of what he said. This was the video where the villagers had gone to see him about how the Muslims were pushing them out of their villages. So he just asked them to find out if their villages/towns fell under any disturbed area act which is apparently there in many places in Gujarat.

Dr. Togadia is the chief of VHP for a reason. VHP was well represented in the PM's swearing in ceremony by Ashok Singhal. Seculars can rant and beat their chest about Dr. Togadia all they want. They will just end up in dustbins of history, but Dr. Togadia's work will live on.

We can counter all the secoolar terrorist/organized religions' threats and vanquish them in a more strategic manner if we put our heads together rather than starting all out war.

I disagree. It was precisely because VHP and their likes were willing to risk spoiling their names and get in the rough that finally some awakening happened over the wool that the seculars were pulling over our eyes. Otherwise, we could have bleated and flailed about all we want but no one would have been any wiser.
