As you guys know Pakistan supported Azerbaijan during and after the Nagorno-Karabakh war with Armenia. Pakistan is the only country in the world so far that doesn't even recognise Armenia as a state and therefore has no diplomatic relations with it.

Pakistan's support for Azerbaijan won't change, very much like Turkey and we will continue to support them on Nagorno-Karabakh issue. I just wanted to ask what would be the opinion of Azarbaijan and Turkey if Pakistan formed diplomatic relations with Armenia?

Since we share very close relations with both Azeris and Turkey, its very important to us. Thanks

Just like we maintain our Relationship with Iran and KSA ... we can do it again with Azerbaijan and Armenia ....

It should matter what Turkey or Azeri think ... if its in benefit of Pakistan to build Relations with Armenia , than do it ...

Although Armenia is pretty much a failed state barely surviving thanks to financial aid it recieves from the Armenian diaspora, hence forming a diplomatic relations with such an entity would be pretty insignificant for a state like Pakistan in my opinion. But, if it to serve Pakistani interests and if Pakistan chose to pursue it in any point, I believe Turks would understand it. Even if not, the brotherly relations between Turkey and Pakistan has a deep, solid and unshakable foundation, so such disagreements cannot have a big impact.

That's what i assumed as Turkey itself recognises Armenia.

Azerbaijan is preparing a war to take NK back from Armenia and The states like Turkey and Pakistan is important brother allies of Azerbaijan to keep their motivation high. Armenian diaspora is their biggest power which control French like states to support Armenians against us. That's why Turkey protests French products/ban French institutes aiming to join multi-billion $ tenders. In additions, Germans issue restrictions When Turkey wants to export some strategic products housing German subsystems, to Azerbaijan. In this circumstances, Civilian trade agreements to be done in favour of Pakistani interests in region is non-objectionable. It may be a problem If It goes into a politic/military support to Armenia.

Timing is important. Any concessions form us or from our allies to Armenia would only add to their political power and they can use that as propaganda. Armenia doesn't have an economy and also not an army. Politics is their only weapon. As I said timing is important. If Pakistan recognizes Armenia now it would send the wrong signal. Especially since the region is heating up. My 2 cents.

* Recognising Armenia serves no geopolitical or economic interests Pakistan has. Its just that our approach towards Armenia is not right since Turkey recognises them.

* Hypothetically, if we establish diplomatic relations with them, they'll be limited to trade etc.

* To think that having diplomatic relations with Armenia will have any impact of our historic support for Turkey or Azarbaijan is just silly.

* Both Turkey and Pakistan supply hardware and training to Azeri forces. We'll continue to service any requirements our Azeri friends have and we'll support them on NK in both peace and war time.

We recognize Armenia's borders (without occupied Nagoro Karabakh). This doesn't mean we have trade relations with Armenia. Both Azerbaijan and Turkey have their borders sealed off with Armenia because they are occupying 20% of Azerbaijan. I don't think Azerbaijan would mind you (Pakistan) recognizing Armenia's borders (without NK) but they would mind if you have trade relations since you would indirectly support Armenia's army occupying Azerbaijan.

Obviously. Pakistan's position on NK is well known and even if we do establish diplomatic relations, we'll always back Azarbaijan on NK.

NK is not enough for them. They are planning to take some lands from Turkey as well. The mountain Armenian flag have is the Ağri (Ararat) which is inside of Agri city of Turkiye. It It wasn't Russia supporting Armenians, Turkish Army would have already sent those menthally sick country into stoneage.

many of Azeris respect Pakistan for being one of the few nations to help us out in this conflict politically and economically.
I don't think any of us would mind Pakistan recognizing Armenia itself as a state , as we don't really care about the failed state, we only care for our lands that are under occupation. I would say if Pakistan started forming economical relations with Armenia , I am sure many would lose their respect towards Pakistan due to such turn in relations, but I doubt the government will overall suddenly halt its relations with Pakistan , even an economic relation between Armenia and Pakistan would be so minor that it would not cause any effect on their economy.

Although it's hypothetical question but I don't think Pakistan will gain any benefit for recognizing Armenia. So, there is no need to think about this at the moment, In fact recognizing Israel will be more beneficial than Armenia.

BTW - I didn't know that we don't recognize Armenia, On passport just Israel is written.
