Three people, including a young girl, were killed in the Nakyal and Tatta Pani sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday when Indian troops opened fire in the area.

Six people were also injured in the shelling by Indian troops in the villages along the LoC.

“Nakyal and Tatta Pani sectors came under fire on Friday, with Indian troops targetted civilian populations without any provocation,” said officials while speaking to Dawn.

The deceased were identified as Saima, 25, Aamna,, 7, and Abdul Latif, 50.

ISPR denies Indian claims
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) rejected Indian claims in connection with the alleged killings of Pakistani troops along the Working Boundary.

"Indian claims of killing any Pakistani soldier at the Working Boundary is absolutely baseless and untrue," the ISPR said in a statement.

"India's claim is part of their propaganda campaign aimed to hide their losses at the Working Boundary and also divert world attention from the Kashmir issue."

Earlier on Friday, Indian media quoted India's Border Security Force (BSF) as claiming that 15 personnel of Pakistan Rangers were killed during firing across the border.

The claims come hours after Pakistan declared an official of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, Surjeet Singh, as persona non grata and asked him to leave the country by Oct 29 after much the same treatment was meted out by India to a staffer of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, Mehmood Akhtar.

Tense relations
The latest developments come as tensions simmer between New Delhi and Islamabad over the Kashmir issue and as the past few days have seen incidents of cross-border firing.

Ties between the two countries have deterioated further as the Indian prime minister stepped up a drive to isolate Pakistan diplomatically after the Uri army base attack last month.

Hours after the attack occurred, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh termed Pakistan a 'terrorist state' and accused Pakistan of involvement.

The Uri attack occurred days before Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was set to address the United Nations General Assembly regarding Indian human rights violations in held Kashmir.

Following the attack, India claimed it conducted a cross-border 'surgical strike' against 'launch pads of terror' in Azad Jammu and Kashmir — a claim Pakistan has strongly rejected.

Pakistan maintains that India is attempting to divert the world's attention away from atrocities committed by government forces in India-held Kashmir.

Pakistan and India recently locked horns over the Kashmir issue when Indian forces stepped up a crackdown against protesters after Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani was killed by government forces in July.

Wouldn't be surprised if India escalate this furthur in the next few days. They and the west like Nawaz Sharif and his puppet govt.

May Allah grant them a place on heaven and may the injure come back to health and recover completely.

This madness and barbarism must end.

Multiply this 3 to 10.. and should open the fire to retaliate these innocent souls who had the punishment of being a Pakistani.

Indians obsession wants a war... Let's give them..!!!

A shell is not going to differentiate between friend foe, combatant or civilian. There is going to be no war because neither size has the kahones for that, especially arm chair generals like you

Nop... It would be coward act.. Retaliation from Hanuman Army...
But how would we target them?? They are so damn invisible....
Dont you know that the PA has weaponised pigeons that can spot the invisible hanumans from the sky and pass their coordinates for artillery strikes.

On a serious note neither side is itching for an escalation, the worst the can do is cross border plausibly deniable attacks

If anyone ever visit villages along LOC. Specially Tata Pani area is densely populated few hundred yards from Indian post. Even villagers door open right infront of Indian post. That's the reason people laugh when Indian claim of SirgKal strike.

Cut diplomatic staff as much as possible but stop this cross border killings in which now civilians, children and domestic animals are dying too

Casualties on both sides : Confirmed .
4 Indian soldiers killed / 7 Injured .
2 Pakistani soldiers martyred / 9 injured .

1 Indian civilian killed / 10 injured .
3 Pakistani civilians Martyred / 25 injured . + 3 Martyred / 6 Injured today .:(
