When push comes to shove, they always back down. Muricans already got a humiliation in the Korean War and Vietnam War when China was at its weakest.

The rest world is not so stupid to follow US plan. They will do business with China even if China reunify Taiwan because they know who is the one that raised the tension.

On the contary, if US failed to prevent China's Strait War, the world will doubt US dominance in military. And in turn doubt US dollar's credibility. It's the biggest strategy disaster for US.

US has dollar hegemony, and most of Europe and even sKorea & japan depends on us militatary for defence+ the semiconductor issue tied with US sanctions, gives great leverage to US’s bullish diplomacy. How does China provide a solution to that?No clear answer. It all depends. If countries side with the US it will not be bc they care about Taiwan, but because they’re forced by the US pressures. But no one can predict future,may be the world will turn against US's unilateral actions and hard-handed diplomacy.

There will probably be war breaking out in late October. The Trump administration is planning a Tonkin incident to start war with China in order to mobilize Asia and the world to effectively shut off relations with China. It may not be a full scale war but enough to mobilize the world against China. This is why Terry Brandstadt is being withdrawn from Beijing in October. Just watch.

You don't understand PLA views. If there is a war with US, it will be a full war scale not a limited war. There's too much at stake for China and US. Not going to happen . IT will be deteriminatal for US if it loses to China. Again won't happen.

Forget it, China really has no answer to US fleet of hundreds of F-22s and F-35s.

It's small fleet of J-20s are outmatched many times over.

The only reason that the Chinese are not building dozens of J-20s each year is that it is not competitive enough yet with the US 5th gen fighters.

China is being rather smart in not going down the Soviet route of spending lots of money building 2nd rate weapons systems.

Once they have a weapon system that is good enough, then they build in mass like with the Type-52D destroyer.
