I will consume meat of an animal killed even this way too as long as it is halal. My purpose of sharing this video was that there are still some tribes that go to this extent to kill animals in kind of brutal way but I respect these tribes because they are close to nature and are as much part of nature as lions or leopards etc. who also hunt brutally in the wild.

When was this filmed ? 1950s? Africans now have sophisticated guns and they certainly stopped using animal hide as a dress years ago. Just another European attempt to project the Africans as a savage and barbaric race. It was okay for Europeans to slaughter animals in herds at a time with their guns and hunting safaris for sportsmanship but barbaric for Africans to hunt animals with spears to feed themselves

In the southern regions of Africa, the natives hunted with spears which were tipped with strong poisons. The poison would sedate the animal immediately upon the spear penetrating the animal. The form of kill was rather "humane'

Won't this method make the meat also poisonous?

Well they certainly didn't die from it for over 4000 thousand years of hunting as such so I don't believe that it had any effect on them It was all natural poisons from roots and certain vegetation. Most probably didn't have any adverse effect on the human digestion system

This is nothing as compared to what I saw in a documentry about mangols hunting caribou and deer, they run after the animal in packs like wolf do till the animal gets tired and one grabs him by the horns and bring it down
