muree brewry also makes non alvoholic beer locally called "aab e jaw" "the water of barley" . and that has a sizable market in pakistan.....totally halal..allowed by religion....

They have nice malts n lemonades etc.

Yes, its illegal.

Yes, but hidden.

there are certified shops for non muslims which sell all brands of alcohol....
local christians buy from there as its legal for them and then sell at profit to those alcohol drinking muslims.

Yes it's illegal but for Muslims only (I think it's clearly mentioned in Post 1). There are no bars in Pakistan as majority of population is Muslims.

Pakistan is a capitalist, free-market country since 1947.

I see NOTHING wrong in promoting and exporting Pakistani-made alcohols/liquors......99.9% of the alcohol business in Pakistan is run by non-Muslims. . . it's lucrative, it's just business, and quite frankly --it can be good for ''soft power''

we know how much they love to drink in the west....so why not?

even in Pakistan, behind closed doors liquor flows like the Nile river -for a certain segment of the society......some people just know how to come off as ''sharif'' and innocent

yes they sell all sorts of non alcoholic drinks....taste almost the same as their alcoholic version but you dont get drunk and dont piss in your pants and dont wake up in the morning with your face on the toilet seat sorrounded by a puddle of your puke.

blue is too mild....did u try H2K?

Yes, I tried that. KF Blue is too mild but I generally go for 2 large Bottles, and still it is far better than firangi Brands which taste like plain water. But I mostly go for KF Strong and tried some other brands also like H2K, H5K, Foster, Tuborg but I am mad about Whisky generally have Antiquity Blue.

Murree Brewery

Thats their Non-Alcoholic products....and well good..

Its worth mentioning that every year scores of people lose their lives or go to hospital with serious illness in pursuit of the dreaded alcohol....
They got drunk and started a fight.
They got drunk and jumped off a cliff,or tripped on the pavement and fractured a bone.
They got drunk and smashed their car into someone else's
They got addicted and their liver failed.
Or like in poor countries, they bought illegally brewed drinks which were contaminated.

In UK the National Health Service spends over 2 Billion pounds every year on Alcohol related illnesses.
Same with police, most of their time on weekends is spent tackling Drunk people who have lost their minds due to alcohol.

So all those star struck with the Razzle Dazzle of Alcohol..also look at the dark side of alcohol.

Apart from medical conditions(liver damage due to extreme drinking) I dont think UK has other issues.
They should remove alcohol related diseases from NHS, people should pay for cure.
Also they should stop the alcohol "on sale", so that it reflects real price.

But overall, availability of alcohol improves the quality of social life here, only few stupid guys make their own life miserable.

If someone doesn't now his/her limits, they shouldn't be indulging in it in the first place. Period. Then again desire trumps self control in the case of the weak.

You ban or not .. people will gonna drink it.. no matter how many disadvantages it will have ..by legalizing it no doubt government increases its responsibilities like health care, managing rules and order but on other hand also gets loads of revenue from tax and other business activities related to alcohol.Alcohol is one of the highly taxed things in almost all countries..
