"Virgin Hyperloop One" is poised to launch its operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which includes a fast transit transport system that will create thousands of jobs during its first year.
Colin Rice, vice president of Virgin Hyperloop One, said that by 2020 his company's operations in the kingdom would start, stressing that the transit system would create thousands of jobs in its first year of operation.

Colin Rice said the Saudis would be able to travel through Hyperloop by the end of next year, after it was agreed to operate the global technology in the country during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the United States in March last year.

The Kingdom is one of a few countries around the world, including the United Arab Emirates and India, which is looking to adopt cutting-edge Hyperloop technology.

The new express transport service will reduce the travel time between Riyadh and Jeddah from 10 hours to about 50 minutes and have the highest levels of security and safety in its operating systems.

The Gulf states are the only countries taking steps towards futuristic cities, buildings and infrastructure. By 2050 they could be ahead 70-100 years most of the world
