The Point: Turkey bends the truth in Xinjiang accusations

My question to our Turkish friends here:

why Turkey is especially interested in Crimea Tatar and Uighur people Are they seen by Turkish as closer relatives compared to other Turkic people, for example Lithuanian Tatars (Poland, Lithuania) or Yellow Yugur (China), or Turkey just wants to create some leverages in its relationship with China and Russia, both are extremely important to President Erdogan for this very time-being.

Is this possible that Mr. Erdogan sees him and his country like King Sihanouk viewed his country Cambodia in 1960 - 1970s, i.e. a country every great powers needed and therefore, had to take care for.

They are all seen as equal Turkic but most have lost their identity.
Crimean Tatars and Uyghurs never lost their identity.
Most others lost their identity due to assimilation policies like in the former Turkic soviet countries.
Btw,it has nothing to do with Erdogan,he cares more for Palestinians then Turkics.

How come people from former Turkic soviet countries all lost their identity while Uyghurs in China didn't?

Uyghurs are not descendants of Turks: Urumqi mayor
By Shan Jie Source:Global Times Published: 2018/8/26 21:58:39

The Uyghur people are members of the Chinese family, not descendants of the Turks, the mayor of Urumqi, capital city of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, said in an article that declared war on the "three evil forces" of terrorism, separatism and extremism.

"Happy life comes with difficulties, but the three evil forces, using the name of ethnics and religion, have been creating hatred between ethnic groups and the mania to conduct terrorist activities, which greatly damage the shared interests of Xinjiang people," Yasheng Sidike, mayor and deputy Party chief of Urumqi, wrote in an article published on Urumqi Evening Post on August 20.

"The Uyghur people are members of the Chinese family, not descendants of the Turks, let alone anything to do with Turkish people," he noted.

Xinjiang is a region where ethnic groups have mixed since ancient times, and all groups have made contributions to its development and safeguarding the region. They are all owners of Xinjiang, he said.

"The fallacies that claim 'East Turkistan is our country' and 'Uyghur as the native of Xinjiang' are ridiculous, ignorant and condemnable," read the article.

Turgunjan Tursun, a professor with the Zhejiang Normal University, told the Global Times on Sunday that the Pan-Islamism and Pan-Turkism thoughts have affected the region in modern times. "But since 1949, the social structure in Xinjiang has changed, and the basis for ethnic unity has been formed."

In the past decades, violence has occurred in Xinjiang, but it has been reduced to a minimum and cannot shake the mainstream of Xinjiang, Turgunjan noted.

"One's ethnic identity and national identity are not in conflict. China is a country with multiple ethnic groups," he said. China's population is made up of 56 constitutionally recognized ethnic groups.

"Uyghurs are not Turks," Maimaitizunong Abdukirim, a professor at the Kashgar University in Xinjiang, was quoted by Huaxia Dili, the Chinese edition of National Geographic as saying in 2014. He said that linguistically, the Uyghur language belongs to the Turk language group, but "it is not related to the blood."

Xinjiang is home to 13 predominant ethnic groups, including Uyghur, Han, Kazakh, Khalkhas and Tajik that have been living in the region for generations. By the end of 2016, ethnic minorities account for 60 percent of Xinjiang's population, according to the website of Xinjiang government.

Uighurs are not Turks. That's like saying there is an "Indus" River in Pakistan so Pakistan is a part of "India". Turkey should call itself "Anatolia" or "Asia Minor" instead pretending to be pan-Turkic country. Uighurs joined the Qing dynasty for protection against Mongol rulers in the region. If anything, the Uighur situation is similar to the Confederate during the American Civil War. Moreover, northern Xinjiang was always Han Chinese. Uighurs are only indigenous to south Xinjiang, if that.

The Uyghurs under Emin Khoja 額敏和卓 joined the Qing Empire for protection against the Dzungars and the Emin minaret was named after Emin Khoja.

Well, it seems being mayor of Urumqi, under Chinese rule, must have some obligaitons. Obviously this is another attempt to erase Uyghur Turks identity. Interesting that a mayor knows better than the rest of the world's history and gene researchers :D Show this to your mayor, an internationally accepted scintific fact, from proto-Turks to present time... Chinese guys seems confused nowadays... Work harder guys, being a paid internet troll must be difficult :D

Yellow Yugur

uyghur turks speak a very close language to turkish in comparision with kazakh or kirgiz language..
if uzbek would not have its weird unharmonic phonetic sound it would be the language wich is much more close to turkish in this region than any other in the east.. but it depends on the dialect spoken you can find village ppl in turkey wich are not so easy to understand..

yugur sounds strange it sound like turkic with chinese accent.. its like uzbek sounding like persian accent but someho more disturbed.. (for a turkish speaker)

yugur kindergarden song similarities can be heared:
yugur, mongol or chinese dont ask me.. sounds out of space.. except maybe one word cikan there is nothing that sounds familar.. the chinese alike accent is disturbing:

uyghur song:

uyghur song:
the turkish version:

The Uyghur people are members of the Chinese famil

lets say desert chinese like the mountain turks in turkey uh?

Uighurs are not Turks

its like saying you are japanese because of your slit eyes.. if you tell yourself this story then you will belive it.. pathetic

Many people speak English as their mother language, but it doesn't mean they are blood related.

here comes the blood idiocy.. have a look at abdurrahman heyit or the girl in the video above.. or just this three beauties:

you can find optic similar girls in turkey and than you find european looking or more arabic looking girls in turkey.. but they all speak one language: turkish and consider them as turkish

then, is there is no chinese your homeland or just a few? china is a mixture of hundret different folks.. the motherland of what is called chinese is behind the monument you have carved into the earth "the chinese wall" a prove from history wich shows where you came from.. this is your own logic than.. your idea should be the nation.. in wich everyone is respected and safe.. if you build your logic by blood than in the future you will end up like the nazis: only blond blue eyed germans are the real ones..

the reality is you won't find genetic clean ppl and mixture is the nature of humans.. if you find a beautiful lady to marry you wont think about wich ethnic she belongs to.. also there is serious assimilation everywhere.. this blood idea should be thrown into the garbage..

@beijingwalker, looks like you stirred up the Turdish revisionists. Now you'll never hear the end of Türdiye's fantasy history with Uighurs.
Obviously this is another attempt to erase Uyghur Turks identity.

Even if the bullsh*t you spew has any resemblance to reality, Uighurs were made Turdish by the sword. China will remake them by the sword, and China's sword is a lot bigger than Türdiye's.

Anybody can make a diagram and post it on the internet. The Anatolian Turks originally come from Huns who conquered Anatolia and put Greeks to the sword. Turkey is just one of many Turkic countries with shared linguistic heritage but Turkey has no primacy over any of them. It's more like all the other Turkic countries are level headed while Turkey imagines itself to be much more powerful and important than it really is.
