Superpower or not , without any allies in and around south east asia and especially south china sea it is difficult position for China to dominate both diplomatically and militarily !
China cant just bully its way to win over Spartly Islands !
China does not seek to be a superpower, only old fashioned people with narrow mindsets dream to be one. China also have allies and can hold its own weight hence no one militarily challenged China already and it is not in China's interest to "dominate" anyone or the region. If we can cooperate peacefully and without puppets barking or yapping on behalf of their master, we would gladly reach out and shake hands.
Elementary, Dr Watson! Filipino labor is the cheapest in the world, even cheaper than the Chinese! No wonder they are undercutting countries like India and Indonesia in world markets. And yet the Chinese people continue to hire as many Filipino maids as possible and about to give them permanent resident status.
Neck? You hit the nail on the head!Is China still living with the tag "Sick man of Asia" around her neck ???????

If China learns to behave and not act with belligerence towards its neighbors, then it can be accepted into the comity of nations as a mature peace loving emerging power.I feel sad for the Chinese people who are still bullied by small countries such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan or large countries such as India , Japan, Europe etc etc....
Not sure if rest of your chinese friends on PDF would agree with you on the aspiration for superpower view
Most of chinese neighbours in the south east asia consider china as a bully and countries ranging from Japan , S korea , philipines , vietnam , Australia ,malaysia, and other ASEAN countries ... etc etc , Your views of china doesnt look to dominate its neighbours in and around SE asia may not be shared by all those countries !
3500 nuclear weapons are all the allies we need for all you 3rd world countries who dare defy our fiat.Superpower or not , without any allies in and around south east asia and especially south china sea it is difficult position for China to dominate both diplomatically and militarily !

This is in our long-term strategic interests. If China learns to behave and not act with belligerence towards its neighbors, then it can be accepted into the comity of nations as a mature peace loving emerging power.

The Philippine navy deliberately removed some Chinese installations in the disputed region, declaring a readiness to robustly defend the region.
