Yes Greece has an S-300 PMU 1 in Crete... But it looks like US thinks it is a problem only for Turkey.

Greece I understand but Israel I am not sure because there are no known hostilities between the two countries. if I am not mistaken there been joint military exercises as well. apart from one incident of firing on Turkish led Palestinian relief aid by the Israelis

The prime location of Turkey was very important to US and now they have to shift somewhere else. Now question is where because no one in Europe try direct conflict with Russia due to fear that they become Russia prime target. So who want to take risk now?

There is a pack of Greece-Israel-Egypt-South Cyprus in Mediterranean... I am not saying we will fight with them all but it is better to be prepared for worst case scenario... There is so much gas...

S-300 isnt a weak system... Serbs shot down an american stealth jet (F-117) with an S-125... So I dont agree with that.

Makes sense to go for S-400 when in the near future the next gen S-500 is available. We can be rest assured that the next gen will be very very lethal.

Remember that Syrian S-200 shot down an advanced Israeli F-16I. It is not hard to imagine how potent S-300 is compared to earlier air defenses.

The Americans rightfully fear the S-400.
