What's new

The government of Uttar Pradesh in India has banned the production, storage, distribution, and sale of food products with the Halal certification

In sweet products Gelatin is used alot which is made from animal products like pork.
Since you talked about fried potato chips, will it okay to use oil form animal fat ? You do know that it doed get used.
Similarly in medicine and cosmetics alcohol and other animals parts do gets used hence having people worrying and buying these products shouldnt be issue for anyone in first place.
We dont do it just for funnies its a compulsory for us and we must do it, just like its compulsory for hindus to be vegetarian
Do you really believe Halal certified products are actually Halal? People sell fake milk, give injections to animals for Eid….

If I eat outside , I accept that French fries are fried in same oil as chicken nuggets.

Seems like more people on forum cares than Indian Muslims. Anyways it is not job of private organization to give halal certification. Government needs to do it and UP is in right track.

Don't the hindus expect everyone to respect the cow? Despite the fact that it's the most eaten meat in the world, as well as the cheapest.
Do they respect? No. So it is two way street.

Halal meat hasn't been banned. Halal certification has been banned. Muslims can still go to a muslim butcher and buy meat, which I am certain will be halal. Butchers are overwhelmingly Muslims, so nothing changes on the ground, really. What does change is that in a restaurant (where you are not aware of the religion of the business owner) a Muslim will have to ask if the meat is halal or not. Chances are that it will be, because Hindu buyers aren't particular whether the meat is halal or jhatka.

However, if the UP govt really wants an end to halal meat (and not just certification) it will have to do zabardasti and force Hindus to eat only jhatka meat. As long as the average Hindu is indifferent to the kind of slaughter, this won't change anything practically.

I also know from unofficial channels that the Muslim body which certifies halal is corrupt and awards certifications without any due diligence.

From my limited knowledge, halal meat requires:
  1. Slaughter method is dhabihah
  2. The knife is very sharp
  3. The animal is not slaughtered in presence of another
  4. The knife is not visible to the animal before slaughter
  5. Some Islamic prayer is recited while slaughtering
Points 3,4,5 are never followed. By the above guidelines, none of the meat in the market is halal.
Muslims buy from Muslim anyways, there are enough videos out there where Muslim comes to butcher shop and leaves after seeing non Muslim butcher. Personally these types of people needs to go in reeducation camps irrespective of religion.

Now that it's official , entire GCC should stop importing all kinda dairy and poultry meat from india with immediate effect .
And import fake/adulterated milk form Pakistan 🤮

If anyone selling something wrong, that's on them.
You can eat whatever you like, same goes for others.

It doesn't matter if they want halal or not leave it, people. if they are paying they can get whatever they want

i guess then you will ask for Hindus to be sent to samp camps ? as they are not eating meat.
