I dont pick favorable months, i pick latest data. You do understand the difference? Russian population is growing since August 2011.

Drugs, alcohol,corruption, depression, and suicide are the main killers even if you get high birth rates you need to improve the life expectancy.

Maybe for a country that has not a strong manufacturing and take food export as one of pillar industries,less population means less jobless and more grain export.

Provided the nation can mantain the steady population trend,not let it descend steeply.Everything will be ok.

As for reviving to the empire it used to be,my opinion is barely.

Picking a few favorable months wont hide the problem.

Russias population is falling and has been for 15years, of late the rate of decrease has slowed and perhaps even leveled off but its still a problem.

That graph showed that the Russian population fell from 1990-2000, before leveling off. What happened during that decade? Oh yeah, the Soviet Union collapsed. The Russian economy fell apart. People simply did not have the money to have kids. Then Putin came along, and he put limits on the oligarchs' misbehavior. The economy stabilized, as did the population. If Russia improves its social services, then it will be able to return to population growth. Obviously, things won't be as good as they were under the Soviet Union without a return to Socialism. But it's unlikely things will be as bad as they were in the 90s.
