The disappearance of dictionary

Whenever I look up the meaning of a word or idiom on my phone these days,I always remember my two advanced dictionaries of English and one that of Tamil resting on the shelf in my house...It has been a long time(almost 3 years)since I last picked up one of my dictionaries.I feel sorry for them ;looking at my Tamil dictionary I feel even more pained for I feel I have not made the complete value of the money I spent on it.I got it couriered from chennai through one of my net friends.Friends tell me;are you still using your dictionary?If not when was the last time you looked up a word in it?do you feel sad looking at it?

I have a shelf of dictionaries, thesaurus, English/other language translations. I think the only thing to do with them is to recycle the paper ! The last time I used a book style dictionary must have been six or seven years ago.

Even worse, I no longer remember spellings,completely dependent on autocorrect with sometimes very interesting results. I one asked my boss for his onion !!!! It took him a few minutes to realize I only needed his opinion not any culinary ingredients.

Hahaha...but in this age of text messaging it shouldn't have been a big problem to your boss to understand what you meant..as soon as I read the word onion I understood it was opinion but thought it was a typo until I came to the end of the post.
Anyway gone are those days...
