It is typical Indian doublespeak of backhanded "compliments" while promoting self-aggrandizing Indian propaganda.

The point was that we have an Indian singing the usual two-faced mantra about "hindi chini bhai bhai" on the one hand, while simultaneously promoting negative stereotypes of China.

As for the West's pandering of India, that's been discussed lots of times here.
