The China Threat.

Why not? And do you consider democratic and capitalist principles 'threats'? Remember, you are living in a democratic and capitalist country, Canada, and enjoying the benefits thereof.

I'll take that as a question seriously asked and not a facetious snarky question meant to mock. I think democracy with protected right to speech is the best form of a political system to live under. I also think that there is no correlation in history between the internal freedom of a society and its violence and aggression aboard.

Take England, it was the freest country in the world in the 19th century and in India they acted like the Nazis did. The US is the most open society in the world (with some problems but still) and it also has the most brutal record of violence in the world. These things are just uncorrelated.

You have no choice but to take it seriously regardless of how I may or may not have intended it to be.

There has to be a reason why. The US defended China in WW II, rebuilt Japan and half of Germany, defended Korea and built up the other half, defended the entire Western Hemisphere against communism. What has communist China accomplished in the name of communism in the same time span outside of the internal brutality that was Maoist China? I have no problems if China consider US a 'threat'. In fact, I want China to consider US a 'threat'. I want any non-democratic regime in the world to consider US a 'threat'. The US today is not comparable to 19th century England. Back then, there was no organization like the UN or WTO to keep England's or any European's mercantilism in check. After the Soviets collapsed, the US did not 'moved in' and take over any former Soviet client states. We left them alone to either grow into minimally functional democracies or develop their own problems and try to export them.

Factually incorrect. The US did not defend China. The US defended the US, which was attacked by Japan like China. There was not 1 US ground soldier standing in front of the Chinese ground soldiers. Stop the lies. Freedom for the world.

this is a classic act from a person living in western propaganda and denail, U.S defended China? and rebuilt western europ just for charity? lol```what a simpleton, every US polices go with its own political, economical and cultural interests, that is what every great empire did, does and will do in the future````

communisim, capitalism or 'democracy' is just everyone's 'co-operate logo' sticks on their forehead... it is naive nowdays anyone actually believe China is still the real 'communist' state, but whatever political or economical landscape china will change in the future the government will still refer the country as a 'cummunist' country

And what is wrong with that? Would you rather the US utterly destroyed Japan after the defeat of Imperial Japan? Who is really the simpleton now?
