Tejas Naval version doesn’t meet Navy’s requirements: Admiral Lanba

Sounds good when many airforces are retiring most of their 4th gen aircraft and replacing them with 5th gen or 4++ or 4.75 gens aircraft you are inducting them

Many nations are inducting 4th gen fighters as well including pakistan and it's going to be a long while before we see the current batch of 4th gen fighters retire.

Besides, we too have our own 5th gen fighters in the pipeline.

Navy from beginning has said that it does not want Tejas as one of its carrier based fighter but still they are funding the project because converting an AF version into a carrier based fighter is itself an achievement and requires a lot of additional R&D work which will definitely help while developing other carrier based fighters.

BTW here is a recent pic of NLCA.

The important thing is that unlike IAF, IN is funding NLCA project and IN will be testing NLCA onboard INS Vikramaditya once it moves out to sea after refit is completed.

Pakistan is inducting jf17 blk 3 which it's it's a 4+ gen aircraft

Not 'is inducting', but 'will induct'.

And it remains to be seen how advanced its initial features will be. Like for example Tejas' initial versions itself feature a quadruplex RSS fly by wire and an HMDS which the JF-17 will only get in blk 3.
