Seriously, Pakistan doesn't need that pos to be assembled or solid in Pakistan. Pakistani automobile manufacturers and companies need to be subsidize domestic auto companies. Ban the pos tata it is one ugly hideous cheap flimsy low quality car, in European markets the car failed miserably it would also fail miserably in US.

Actually the Nano had initially done quite badly. Reason for this was - a. Tata Motors did not concentrate on non-metros where the demand would be greatest and b. The warranty was not good initially. A person would rather buy a 2 year old used Alto for the same price as a Nano. But after Tata changed its marketing and concentrated on smaller towns - the car has been a success. I drove it a few months ago - it is a very, very spartan car but at that price point - it does the job of taking you from A to B in relative comfort in Air Con. For a family of 4 struggling to get onto a motorbike - something like this is godsent.

Tata Nano sells around 10,000 a month in India. It is now getting so common. it sports a bosch-tata mpfi petrol engine euro 4. I don't know if such an engine can stand CNG kit. most tatas are diesels btw. indica is one of their worst experiment although the quality has improved lately...

nano should be a success. a graduate engineer starts from 25 thousand on aaverage in paksitan. a doctor starts from 16, 000. they would love to have this car wwithin 3 years.

think rationally. buissness wise, we need cheap cars. we need to have malaysian proton and indian tata. we should end the false national paranoia. after all, the toyota and honda guys bribe our goverment for not regulating the car import and tax which is required for public benefit.

ps: indian car will be set free from dollar price bullshit from day one
