Tata Nano travels to Sri Lanka

Most of people prefer to become an owner of Japanese vehicle in here, most of cars, vans etc are Japanese made ones.
But most of buses and trucks are Indian TATA and Lanka Ashok leyland made ones and there are few Chinese models too.

Yep, vehicle prices are higher but you can find latest models and popular models such as ferrari, hummers, limos, Aston Martin, Nissan GTR etc in Sri Lanka too.

110 per cent duty imposed in Sri Lanka for TATA Nano cars

In Sri Lanka Japanese Vehicles dominate the market.

Sri Lanka also has the one of the highest GDP per capita.

The price range of cars won’t be a big issue.

9-11 Lacs for Tata Nano. That's shocking.. Curious to know, how much an average Sri Lankan earns in terms of LKR?

It has nothing to do with gdp per capita .

Ppl are still not understanding the market of Nano .
Nano was made for the ppl who had motorcycles but couldnt afford to buy 4 wheelers

Nano is also made keeping youngsters in mind and for those ppl who want a small car as a second car for intra city transport speciallt in congested places
