If Queen elizabeth II speaks hindi and dont speak english, celebrate hindi festival, fully embrace Indian culture. She too can be considered Indian and queen of India but unfortunately , shes not.

But do they used urdu after that? Fact is they forced you all to use english as official language latter. So your point? That is why for you all to go for higher education like university , you all need to master english as it is the only solution to get those degrees.

same goes to something about hyderabad deccan on which i posted earlier, they spoke urdu, they were all pretty much indians, but they chose to marry ottomans who were turkic, hence not really indian.

And earlier British made Calcutta capital of India. So Bengali was language of capital. Not Hindi not urdu.
