some people claim that rig vedas are from 1200-900 BC
Rig Veda: 1200-900 BC

but i have no doubt that they are older than that considering rig veda mentions of sarswati river which has died almost 4000 years.

This has been ages of misinformation. Tamil was the oldest language to split from Sanskrit, mate. It was the first language that split and went parallel as a separate language, but it essentially did come from Sanskrit. All Indian languages have. And very highly qualified Tamils accept this.

Do you know that Tamils Hindus (the priests) pray in Sanskrit as well?

not all Indian languages.Tamil,Telugu,Malayalam,Kannad have different origin,if I am not very much mistaken,its Tamil.

Malayalam IS itself tightly wound Sanskrit spoken very fast. I being Sikkimese could make out the meaning of lot of words correctly.

i know about lemuria brother and i have no doubt that even tamil can be oldest....oldest sanskrit manuscripts are not found mainly because most of them were destroyed(you know by whom)...south was comparatively isolated while libraries in north were burning

Hareh yaar .if u don't something better stay calm don't propagate false propaganda. our priest are Aryans(IYER , IYENGAR(BRAHMINS) so they have to do pujas in Sanskrit v have tamil gods like Murugan for that v do pujas in Tamil not in sanscrit. WE ARE DRAVIDIANS our language have separate branch no similarities .
