what people are working on is how to turn CO2 + H2 into fuels and blends

however they are stuck at the catalysis part

USN has turned seawater into JP-5 aviation fuel but its very expensive

split sea water using hydrolysis, extract CO2 (there is 5 times CO2 in sea water than air) , use H2 from water also and do Fischer Tropsch to turn H2+CO2 > fuels

2 step process costs $500 per barrel but can be done
