First of all the statue was build on Public Private Partnership Model.

Gujarat Govt. gave 600 crores, while the Central govt. gave 200 crores.

Rest of the money was from corporates as part of their CSR and by collecting Iron from all over India.

The Project itself created a major Tourism Hub in Gujarat and has boosted allied sectors like Hotels, Restaurants, shops, taxis and bus service in that part of Gujarat.

Over 1,28,000 Tourists have visited it in just 11 days.

This means around 3-4 Million Tourists will visit the Statue in just its 1st Year.

Now oit to the Taj Mahal which gets only 7-8 Million tourists even today.

Man that is a symbol of hardworking and surely a lot of time would have taken. This statue of unity must be completed in modi's time itself. BJP has to take credit. It was easier giving the contract to Chinese.

It was built on the Banks of the River Narmada and it overlooks the Sardar Sarovar Dam.

The Idea for the dam was born when the US refused to issue Loan to the Gujarat govt. for building the Sardar Sarovar Dam and Modi then raised the money for the Dam himself and got it built. (due to the CONgress propaganda against him)

He then made a promise that he will build the worlds Largest statue as a mark and symbol of Indian self respect Overlooking the same dam. This was when he was the CM of Gujarat.

My concern for poverty is because I live in India. Not in space. But bakts small time pea brain won't process that. All they care are Chinese made statues. Lol
