Its an old platform but still highly effective.

The question is, are they available?

Although, interestingly BD tried to acquire F-16s in the late 90's only to be laughed at by the US.

I don't think so they are such idiots. They are making overtures because they know BD is buying fighter jets and frigates soon. So if they want to rival China or Russia in this case, I don't see they are offering rifles and the likes instead of fighters.

If BD really does have a plan to buy 32 MiG-35 and 12 Su-30SME, I would estimate the cost to be at least 3 billion.

Thats 3 billion BD can throw Uncle Sam's way.

And Trump admin is ready to deal when it comes to money.

I'm sure they would be thrilled to get the sale.
