Even the Indian Tamilnadu Tamils support to Tamils in SL, things are different in Sri Lanka. GoSL main supporting parties are CWC, it is a one of the main Tamil party in SL. And government won seats in the election in the North which was held few months ago, around 37% of Tamils had voted to SL President's party, while 3 other Tamil parties.

Tamils who live in Northern Province is around 7% of whole Sri Lankan population.
