Sri Lanka starts taxi service with Tata Nano

Isn't Tata has "Tata Magic Iris" as alternate for Cab/Autorickshaw Owners?
Tata Magic Iris is a vehicle manufactured by Tata Motors. It is a five-seater with a top speed of 34 mph (55 km/h) and powered with 11 hp (8 kW) diesel engine that is intended to compete with auto-rickshaws.[1]

At the Price Nano is selling in Lanka, it is pretty much not worth to buy from a buyers perspective. they gets refurbished Japanese, euro imports which they prefer, it seems as the price is cheaper and less than what Nano's asking price.

I don't know man, both Indica and Indigo seem to be doing quite well as taxis.

People prefer Tata cars for Taxis because of cheaper maintenance and durability.

Yeah, but taxis have negative connotation, people wont buy for personal use.
Take Indica for example.
Nano was supposed to be a people's car, you can sell more to people than to taxi operators.
