New cricket teams are springing up in Helmand Province and its growing popularity would have been a crime under the old Taliban regime which banned the sport.
Now it offers young people hope and diverts them away from the insurgency. British Forces News reporter Charlotte Cross has been to the football stadium in the middle of Lashkar Gah to see a game of cricket under way part of a tournament involving teams from all over the province.
