Supreme court has delayed the elections for three years in 2000, the precedent is there.

this is not 2000 nor situation is as bad also even in most dangerous time in 90's election had been held so precedent is also there then in 2007 and 2013 where we had khud kash hamley

This judgement is remarkable enough in its own right, insofar as it challenges the unfettered personal authority exercised by the Chief Justice but it clearly has political undertones ...

We already have a 5-member bench 2021 SC judgement that makes it clear that "the chief justice of Pakistan is the sole authority by and through whom the said jurisdiction (suo motu) can be, and is to be, invoked/assumed" ...

A 3-member bench judgement (let alone a bill passed in parliament) cannot overturn a larger bench ruling and even Qazi Faiz Isa knows very well that his judgement regarding suspension of all ongoing suo motu cases has no legal value and it is non binding on CJ or larger SC bench(es). This whole exercise is meant to make SC controversial so that the PDM/Company can refuse to implement any SC orders that call for on-time elections

Where does in existing laws CJP has the power to constitute a special bench??
He has not citing the bill pending in Parliament, he cited SC Rules 1980.

Exactly, his whole professional career has been that. The only reason he's trying to talk is after all these wasteful years of public service; they've put a gender-neutral boy ahead of him. I have heard that CJP is planning to resign.

I am happy with what's happening to Justice Bandial and Justice Ahsan. Both were part of the bench that interfered in Parliament's affairs last year and installed snakes. You give water to a snake, it won't stop it from biting you.

Happy with what's happening.. Nazaria zaroorat ko allow kia tha uss time.. They asked EC to tell the bench whether it is ready to conduct the elections. EC said no that time and they gave the verdict in favor of crooks. They didn't even ask the a$$holes sitting in EC that they had only one task.. to conduct free and fair elections whenever required..

Why are they questioning EC when last year they allowed EC to give them a reason to not hold elections? Why didn't they rule that time that SC couldn't challenge parliament's ruling?

I still think IK did the right thing resigning from assemblies.

Over time the boomers will hit the grave the Gen X, Y, millennials will form the majority of the adult population. Demographically speaking the PDM are already dying a slow death.

IK is but a spark. He by himself can't do much as has been evident thus far especially given every single govt and non-govt agency against him and his party.
