There are many independence movements in Europe. One of the most famous onesis Scotland. Alex Salmond wants an independent Scotland. The first step towards that is greater autonomy.
No pasaran! Viva la República!I agree with you, but those Maidan fools had a lot of external help with a very big agenda.
Viva Russia !!!!! Viva Donbass !!!!
For me i what's the point of trying to vie for 'independence' when in the end, they'll be part of the EU anyways, like Spain. For me, the only issue would be the paradigm shift this would mean in Spanish national integrity. If Catalan gains independence, then this will only spur the Basque separatist movement. We're looking at the disintegration of the Kingdom of Spain.
Catalan language is very different from Spanish language. Spain conquered Catalonia hundreds of years ago.
Yep, Spain is of course rightfully afraid of any domino effects of a potential Catalan secession. Basque and Galician separatists would definitely get a boost out of it as would other separatists in the wider region (Scotland, Venice etc). It can set things into motion that are best worth avoiding (I am of course referring to ethno-linguistic nationalisms which led to the death of millions of Europeans less than a century ago).
No pasaran! Viva la República!

Viva La Armada Espanola!!
Ha ha, I love those Harriers, they still have about 10 years left of life in them, simple jets by today standards, but they can still pull a few tricks.
Spain had a second carrier but was decommissioned ahead of schedule last year because of budget cuts.
The carrier and the 5 AEGIS destroyers are the top ships of the navy.
Tomorrow pics of the marine infantry.
Viva la Armada Japonesa !!!!!!!

Very proud Spanish naval history too! I want to see, God willing, Spanish and Japanese navies working together and hunt down pirates in the Arabian Gulf and Gold Coast!
