When I was in Osan and Kunsan for winter training with the ROK Marines back in the pre-Internet days, I met a few of these tough and no nonsense men who pulled DMZ duty. To a man, they told me that every NKR trooper they saw either in person or through binocs had obvious signs of being undernourished, if not outright malnourished.

Uniforms can only hide so much. The NKReans were thin, their complexions sallow, and movements often jerky, typical of a person trying to keep composure under physical and psychological stress. The Allies troopers found the same physical characteristics when they freed the Jewish prisoners in those camps. Do not bother to post propaganda any pictures or parade videos you may have, for those of us who have been in the military, we can tell. Even the few tourists who managed to get permission to enter NKR noticed the same...

If you are referring to the Vietnam War or Afghanistan, you clearly do not understand what happened and why they turned out the way they were. Not every war results the same. Even if the South Koreans fight only to maintain partition and not to invade to take over North Korea, they will quickly beat the North Koreans troopers back to the other side of the DMZ.

Look North Korea doesn't have a territorial dispute with China. That ALONE makes it okay in my books!

When their mini-sub ran aground, 50,000 South Korean troops were hunting them, they executed their own rather than surrender and two North Koreans still made it back across the DMZ. North also has hundreds of artillery pieces and secret tunnels into South Korea. Their special forces are 100,000 strong and trained in South Korean speech, dress and customs for infiltration. It won't be easy.
