A muslim girl makes harmless video with a hindu male. And Muslims of India issue death and rape threats.

Look at this Muslim social media celeb threatening to rape and murder the girl and the boy. And all his muslim fans condoning action. The secular indian police is nowhere to be seen as usual.

The second vid, of this Abu Faisal... he is a combination of an Indian Muslim equivalent of Pramod Muthalik plus the Khap panchayats of Haryana.

In the last 10 or 15 years, the Indian Muslim community as a whole has become more conservative and regressive, and part of this has been in reaction to the "Love Jihad" conspiracy theory spread by the Sangh and the Kerala Catholic church.

It is ironic that in Saudia and Afghanistan there are progressive movements that call for more freedom for the women and yet in "free" India there has been increased wearing of the hijab and the burqa.

When the Communist Party of India was formed, the co-founders included four Muslim men. The sad thing now is that more and more young Muslim men are being brainwashed by the mullah-preachers of the Tableeghi Jamaat.

A similar case to this girl's, Shabaha, was that of a Kashmiri all-girl music group, Pragaash. The case occurred a few years ago. The conservatives in Kashmir issued rape threats and death threats to this group. Though the music group found support in the then Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, and also support by Shehla Rashid Shora. But sadly the group had to shut down.

My final point is that conservatives and reactionaries, whether Sri Ram Sena or this Abu Faisal, should be arrested and action be taken against them by the Supreme Court for spreading regressive ideas and violence threats.

To be fair, I think the trend is more of a cyclical thing. The formerly liberal Muslim populations are moving towards the right as the ultra conservative ones are moving back to the centre again.

I'm afraid Indian and BD Muslim society is about to enter an inevitable dark age...

That said, as RSS have proved, the paradigms do change faster in the modern world - so we might get out of it faster than in previous cycles.
