Six Pakistani nationals arrested by BSF
GANDHINAGAR: Six Pakistani nationals in the age group of 18 to 20 years were arrested following a special operation mounted by a Border Security Force (BSF) patrol party from Kutch district on Monday night.
The infiltrators, who had entered India by crossing the international maritime boundary line of Jakhau, were caught by the BSF personnel from near Medi village in the border district, BSF's Gujarat Frontier inspector general A K Sinha said.
The special operation was launched after the BSF learnt about an abandoned boat near the coastal area of Kutch district. The Pakistani nationals during their preliminary interrogation have revealed that they were from Karachi and were fishermen who had lost their way in the sea. The infiltrators would be handed over to the police and subjected to intense questioning at the joint interrogation centre in Bhuj, Sinha added.
