based on what happen in syria, some people rather die protect the shrine than the human

even if that human is just a poor children

Life is viewed as being quite cheap in Islamic culture. It's just a journey to the afterlife - which is what's precious and coveted in the Islamic culture.

This goes someway to explaining the rather apathetic attitude many within Islam have towards their life and that of others.

So yes, to many Muslims shrines, symbols, honour etc are much more important than life.

I have no interest in Muslims infighting but as you have put a question here then let it extend to Is it really very necessary to destroy a dead person's resting place and dig up his dead body? Cannot we leave him there and just pray for him?

If a group of crazy takfiris march on Istanbul to blow up the Blue Mosque or Ayasofya, you be DAMNED sure thousands of Turks will stand in the way of that happening.
