What rubbish! Many of my friends have experiences of something else! I do not want to go in details but getting IA, IN and specially IAF officer technical level jobs are one of the toughest and salary, facilities are high. Those are getting jobs in Siemens, CISCO, Microsoft, Tata or Oracle rejected by IA and IAF. I know many.![]()

It is tough. My brother was a very bright student and tried in IAF but could not get through. They took only few. After initial all India technical screening test, it was five day long multistage selection! Salary is good.
what is there to laugh ? Engineers corps is the best example.
so in other words Indian army is playing a topi drama by creating "artificial" shortage of officers to pressurise govt for extracting perks
The civilian govt calls them whenever they need Army's help. Just one month ago a huge fire erupted in a market place at Lahore, and army was called for aerial support by the local authorities. . .
