so? Nobody gives way in China either, well, it's a little better RECENTLY, but not really, there's even a COP in this video.

I'll say this, don't blame the people, it is what it is, the people are not that caring due to the environment they grew up in, first we must take into account there is no precedent in China and India, these are first generation drivers, second, we must also consider the fact the people in these country really don't think much of others, because nobody ever thought much of them.

Poor countries have a lot of problems, an extreme example is, I seen an African that was indifferent to a friend die, not a very close one but had no reaction, because in his war torn country, people including his family die all the time, he's use to it.

Don't blame the people, it's not their fault that they are that way, we all like to move forward in one jump, but the world never works that way. It takes generations, literally, because the old cannot be changed and they must go to give way.

@Koovie do you live in a foreign country? Or from a upper middle to rich family in India?

It's the same mentality in sub continent. The personality that gives right of way to an ambulance is the type of personality that will be looked upon as "weak" by other people. One of my friends told me something really interesting. Most people in developed world will not honk on a driver that doesn't accelerate right away after a signal turns green. This is obviously patience, and if you have this quality most people in the sub-content will consider patience as not a good virtue. Everyone is out for themselves and how to benefit themselves or only those that are close them.
