And my answer would be you must be stupid. PIA is a far larger carrier than Airblue 104.5bn vs 25.8bn in revenues (2015 figures). All national carriers have the backing of their country with the oil backing Emirates and Qatar Airways would not have those cushy jumbos. You should see the Americans complains about the seats on their flights. PIA can be competitive and profit making if the government does not interfere with political appointments.

Remember national airline is strategic military asset. We sometime do mass mobilization in short period of time. It is but I would rather not say how PIA has been deployed in the past to to help with our strategic endeavors.
