PARIS: Mosques in two French towns were fired upon overnight, leaving no casualties, prosecutors said on Thursday.

Three blank grenades were thrown at a mosque shortly after midnight in the city of Le Mans, west of Paris. A bullet hole was also found in a window of the mosque.

In the Port-la-Nouvelle district near Narbonne in southern France, several shots were fired in the direction of a Muslim prayer hall shortly after evening prayers. The hall was empty, the local prosecutor said.

An explosion at a kebab shop near a mosque in the eastern French town of Villefranche-sur-Saone on Thursday morning also left no casualties. Local prosecutors have described it as a "criminal act".

France is on edge following the deadly assault by heavily armed gunmen on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday that left 12 dead. No link has yet been established between the attacks.

Because "religious things" are just creations of the human mind. Anything which a human mind can conjure up should always be up for ridicule and scrutiny. Period. Oh, btw, FYI, highly religious people, those who claim to have 'contact' with God(s), have certain chemical imbalances in their brains. True story, bro!
And as for minorities, why shouldnt they be made fun of? When they have the same rights as others, same freedom of expression as others, then they can and should tolerate others' rights too. As simple as that. Its a personal choice if one is insecure or unwilling to exercise any of the rights, but that does not give anyone any right to infringe upon the rights of others.
Absolutely no justification for the cowardly attack yesterday.

If u start searching for justifications then their is absolutely no justification for that and also for many cases related to Western nation hostility.

Reading this hypocritical post filled with unforgiving hate and misconceptions I can only come up with the following conclusion. The friction is going to remain with people who seek enmity and hate. That is to say, friction between extremists on both sides. It's a given that certain right wing parties are now using every ploy to stir a hate campaign against immigrants and Muslims in particular. This is not a secret any more. The hate rallies are there for everyone to see. It is not a coincidence that Merkel denounced the xenophobia in her own country a few days ago.

It also isn't a surprise that particularly Indians here are spewing their usual hateful venom against Muslims. As Pakistanis we're least surprised. The writing is on the wall. We're glad though to have our separate land. The hate shown by our "lovely" neighbours justifies our cause. The partition and sacrifice was well worth it.

Most importantly, the vast majority of immigrant Muslims who are against terrorism and denounce every form violence don't need to fear. This witch-hunt shouldn't bother them one bit. After all, a barking dog doesn't bite. The Muslims need to call a spade a spade and have a clear conscience. The Muslims shouldn't feel guilty or responsible for the misdeeds of a few rotten apples. Human history is filled with gruesome crimes committed by various men belonging to various religions etc. No religion preaches death and destruction. Human beings resort to death and destruction. Humans carry out evil deeds. Yes, they abuse religion for their malicious misdeeds. If I were a Muslim, I would laugh it off and just carry on with whatever you're trying to achieve in your life. You don't understand since you are a non-Muslim. Muslims don't care if they discriminated against or persecuted. Muslims are always looking for a fight we are not ones to back-off. We only fear Allah(swt). We don't fear any man-made laws or bullets.
