Well, it's a small country. We do not need very large numbers.
We can start producing cars, by focusing on engineering and being able to produce the necessary components for making that car. This would add value to the economy. Engineering companies will be valuable in this.
Producing heavy and complex defense equipment at first hand is never a good idea since the the value generated are only limited to Business2Government transactions. And since they are under ToT, they won't be for export. Developing a tank (suppose) from scratch is not economically feasible.
Bangladesh first need to focus on the consumer markets, and even those of abroad. Our weak currency can make our exports cheap.
