I agree on the vehicle part. The max limit a non filer should be allowed to buy a 1000 cc car. Anythign above and you need to become a filer. Period!

i disagree..i wil simply let them buy use that Data to send them notices..
Even if u stop this non filler will simply use third party to buy cars causig black market

i have a weird suggestion
Regarding Auto industry in Pakistan
Set minimum to almost no taxes on importing car on EU cars and US trucks for 5 Years
it will give option for pakistani buyers to import cars from abroad rather than buying over priced cars from Suzki , honda & Toyota
that will help in establishing the Reapair & parts industry and they will build human forces which can do works on machines on low prices
this will give foot hold to EU and US car companies benefit of low labour cost they will invest more as currently with all the lollipops no one will throw money in blind well.
Pakistani market needs to show they are open and willing.
It will lower prices of vehciles will push these 3 companies to bring better options better models and resonable price.
otherwise you guys will be stuck in this loop

cars are over priced due to govt duties on imported parts and reluctance for more indegnization, lets be cleared on this..this will not..forcing companies via incentives to build parts at home will

I totally agree. We must strengthen Tax collection system and include as many people as possible in collection circle. Government must be ready to go against biggest tax evaders instead of giving them amnesty.

This is a non-starter, simply because American cars one of the worst care on the planet. As for allowing European cars, I am more open to that idea. However, what percentage of Pakistani population can afford them. The cost of ownership for European cars is pretty high.
Importing of cars wont lead to development of your local automotive industry, what is required to break the monopoly of local assemblers is to regulate the market, set standards and enforce them.
