this is a universal truth. that in any society and any country... normally the peace loving left wing members of the majority speak out for the plight of the minorities and defend them far better than the leaders of the persecuted community.

hence, such allies are first target of those who want an all out break down of the state and complete chaos and divided society.

e.g. Muslim extremists targeting secular and human right activists of non-mulsim community and the Radicals belonging to say Hindus or Christinas attacking moderate Muslim leadrs (really hard to find these two words together these days)

the result?

total chaos where the moderate, humane and respected members from both communities are removed systematically through targeted killing and what remains is chaos, rage, rhetoric and spiteful revenge.in Pakistan for example moderate Sunnis have been targeted for not being "enough Muslims" and moderate shia leaders who despite the continuous onslaught at their community still talked about brotherhood and peace among different faiths.

generally speaking AQ and its copycats live on fear and hatred .. remove the causes for hate and fear and AQ will be banished. (so I wish)
